Fault Finding

When equipment arrives at our workshop, our qualified engineers start by gathering all relevant information about the issue. This includes the equipment's history, any symptoms or warning signs reported by the client, and the operational environment. This initial assessment helps us understand the context and narrow down potential causes from the outset.

Our team performs a visual inspection to identify obvious issues, such as loose connections, corrosion, or damaged components. We then conduct a functional inspection to observe how the equipment behaves under normal operating conditions, which can reveal underlying problems.

Using specialised diagnostic tools such as mustimeters, oscilloscopes, and thermal imaging devices and fault locator equipment we perform detailed tests to locate the exact fault. Depending on the type of equipment, we may also use software diagnostics to further pinpoint issues.

Once the fault is identified, we analyse its root cause and document our findings in a detailed report. This report outlines the problem, the suspected cause, and our recommendations for repair or replacement, allowing clients to make informed decisions about the next steps.

Based on our findings, we propose the most effective and cost-efficient solution. This may include immediate repairs, part replacements, refurbishment, or recommendations for preventative maintenance to avoid similar issues in the future.
